“allotment” 指官方分配給某人的數量，亦常指英國的小型租借菜園地塊，用於種植蔬菜或植物。

“allotment” 在正式分配如資源、經費時使用。在英國，亦可指出租菜園。而在美國幾乎不用於菜園。常見搭配：'allotment of budget', 'garden allotment'。
