突然變得無法看見或找不到，通常指某人離開後沒有人知道他在哪裡。

多用於非正式場合，常指人故意消失或避免聯絡，也可指物品。不要和“drop out”混淆（退出、退學）。常搭配“突然”、“完全”等詞語。
