घुमावदार रास्ते में चलना या (कीमतों, लागतों, हालात में) तेज़ और बेकाबू बढ़ोतरी होना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर यह शब्द कीमतों, खर्चों या हालात के अचानक बिगड़ने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है ('spiralling prices', 'spiralling debt')। अर्थ सीधा (घुमता हुआ) या परोक्ष (तेज़ और बेकाबू बढ़ना) हो सकता है। 'out of control', 'upward', 'downward' के साथ आम है।
