إزعاج شخص أو جرح مشاعره، غالبًا بقول أو فعل شيء فظ أو غير محترم.

غالبًا يُستخدم في سياقات رسمية أو محايدة. يُسمع كثيرًا مع كلمات مثل 'بعمق'، 'بسهولة'، أو بعبارة 'لا أقصد أن أُهين'. ليس بقوة 'insult' (إهانة مباشرة وأقسى).
