पोंछ देना (आंसू, गंदगी)

التعريف

कपड़े, हाथ या किसी अन्य सतह से किसी चीज़ को, विशेषकर तरल या गंदगी को, पोंछकर हटाना। अक्सर आंसू या दाग के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।

'wipe away tears' (आंसू पोंछना) जैसी अभिव्यक्तियों में आम है। दाग, धूल या डर (रूपक) के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है। केवल 'wipe' से ज़्यादा सौम्य।

She wiped away her tears after the movie.

उसने फिल्म के बाद अपने आंसू **पोंछ दिए**।
