কিছু ছুঁয়ে দেখলে যে অনুভূতি হয়, বিশেষ করে তার পৃষ্ঠের গুণাবলী বোঝাতে এই শব্দটি ব্যবহৃত হয়। চোখে দেখলে কিছু মসৃণ বা খসখসে দেখালেও 'texture' বলা হয়।
