음악에서 곡이 진행되는 속도. 일반적으로 어떠한 일이 진행되는 속도를 나타낼 때도 쓴다.

주로 음악에서 '빠른 템포', '느린 템포'처럼 사용. 일이나 삶의 속도를 말할 때도 쓰지만 '리듬'과 다르게 단순히 속도를 말함.
