他人の小さな悪事を先生などの目上の人に告げて、相手を困らせる行為です。主に子供同士で使われます。

主に子供同士で使われ、悪いニュアンスがあります。小さなことを先生に言う場合など、「stop tattling」「tattling on your friends」などがよく使われます。深刻な通報とは異なる意味です。

Please stop tattling on your classmates.

クラスメートのことで**告げ口**するのはやめてください。
