명확한 이유 없이 갑자기 누군가나 무언가를 싫어하게 되는 것.

영국 영어에서 주로 쓰이고, 좀 더 공식적ㆍ낡은 느낌이 있다. 주로 가벼운 반감, 명확하지 않은 불호에 사용. 'take against someone'이 일반적. 미국 영어에선 거의 사용되지 않음.

She seemed to take against her new neighbor for no reason.

그녀는 아무 이유 없이 새 이웃을 **괜히 싫어하게** 된 것 같다.
