屋外で日差しを浴びながら横になったり座ったりして、肌を焼いたりリラックスしたりすること。

旅行やレジャーでよく使う。'beachでsunbathe', 'poolsideでsunbathe'などが一般的。「tan」は肌の色、「sunburn」は日焼けなので使い分けに注意。
