التعريف

إطفاء السيجارة أو شيء مشابه بالضغط على الطرف المشتعل حتى يتوقف عن الاحتراق.

يُستخدم عادةً مع السجائر فقط. هو تعبير غير رسمي لكنه ليس عامية. لا يُستخدم مع الشموع أو الحرائق الكبيرة. أكثر شيء شائع: 'stub out a cigarette'.

He stubbed out his cigarette before entering the building.
