التعريف

車のスピードを上げるためにアクセルを踏むこと。また、何かを早く進めるよう急かす意味でも使われる。

運転時だけでなく、比喩的に急がせたい時にも使う。「step on it」と同じ意。フォーマルな場面ではあまり使われない。
