교착 상태스테일메이트 (체스)

التعريف

어느 쪽도 더 이상 나아가지 못하고 승부가 나지 않는 상황. 체스, 협상, 갈등 등에서 사용됨.

주로 체스에서 무승부(패) 상황에 쓰이며, 협상이나 정치, 논쟁 등에서 진전이 없거나 멈춘 상황에도 자주 쓰임. 스포츠 경기의 동점에는 잘 쓰지 않음.

The chess game ended in a stalemate.

체스 경기가 **교착 상태**로 끝났다.

Negotiations reached a stalemate after hours of discussion.

몇 시간 논의 끝에 협상이 **교착 상태**에 도달했다.
