鋭いものを急に誰かや何かに刺すこと。主にナイフなどで攻撃する行動に使われる。

「stab in」は必ず体の部分や場所に続く（例："stab in the stomach"）。比喩的には使わない。裏切りは"stab in the back"。直訳的・暴力的な表現で、丁寧な場には不向き。
