魚群探知機やサウンダーは、水中の物体を音波で見つけたり、水深を測ったり、魚を探したりする機器です。主に技術的や科学的な分野で使われます。

「魚群探知機」や「サウンダー」は漁業、海洋調査、環境研究など専門的な場面で使われます。日常会話では「ソナー」や「魚探」などの方がよく使われます。「sounder」の他の意味（動物の群れ）は全く関係ありません。
