高く空を飛ぶことや、数値や価格などが急激に上がることを表します。

鳥・飛行機などに本当に飛ぶ場合や、価格・評価・感情の急上昇など比喩的にもよく使われます。「soar to new heights」「prices soared」など定型的表現も多いです。少し上がる場面では使いません。

The eagle soared above the mountains.
