誰かに愛情やほめ言葉、プレゼントなどをたくさん与えること。時には何かを大量に浴びせかける意味もある。

主に好意的な場面で使い、『shower with gifts』『shower with love』などの表現が多いです。入浴の意味ではありません。

They showered her with gifts at the party.
