어떤 것이 충분하지 않거나 거의 도달했지만 완전히 미치지 못했을 때 사용합니다.

주로 'short of money', 'short of time'처럼 명사와 함께 씁니다. 'nothing short of...'은 상당히 높이 평가할 때 사용합니다. 'short on'과 차이점에 주의하세요.

We are short of bread. Can you buy some?

우리는 빵이 **모자라**. 좀 사 올 수 있어?

I'm short of time today.
