여러 가지 중에서 고민한 끝에 한 가지를 고르거나 결정하는 것.

일상적인 상황에서 여러 가지 중 하나를 고를 때 자주 사용함. 'settle on a plan', 'settle on a color'처럼 명사 앞에 옴. 'settle down' (정착하다)와는 다름.

It took us hours to settle on a movie to watch.

어떤 영화를 볼지 **결정하는 데** 몇 시간이 걸렸어.
