物や部品を、ほかの物体や表面にしっかりとはめ込んだり埋め込んだりして、ほぼ平らになるようにすること。

主に設計や建築など専門的な場面で使われます（例：「壁に埋め込む」）。日常会話ではあまり使いません。「set in」とは意味が異なります。
