'Riot' normalmente é substantivo, mas também existe como verbo ('to riot'). Refere-se sempre a violência coletiva, nunca só barulho ou bagunça. Comum em: 'race riots', 'food riots', 'break out into riots'. Mais grave que 'protests'.
