本来のメンバーではなく、試合の勝利のために臨時で加えられる実力のある選手のこと。時には不公平になることもある。

主にスポーツで使う表現。「助っ人」はスポーツ以外にも使われるが、ここでは外部の優秀な選手に用いる。ズルや不公平な意味合いもある。
