누군가가 대금을 제대로 내지 않을 때, 주로 은행이나 금융기관이 자동차나 집 같은 재산을 다시 가져가는 것.

주로 은행이나 법적 상황에서 사용하며, 'repossess a car'와 같이 자동차, 주택 등에 많이 씁니다. 일상적인 '되찾다'와는 다름.

The bank will repossess the car if you do not pay the loan.
