特定の話題や出来事、状況について、書面や口頭で情報や公式な説明を伝えること。

やや形式的で、記者や学生、職員が話題や結果、進捗を共有する時によく使います。「report on/about ...」のように直後に話題が続きます。日常会話の私的な内容には使いません。
