指有明確目標、需一段時間完成的計劃性工作或活動，如學校作業、商業任務或建築工程。適用於任何需要有組織努力的事。

通常為可數名詞，如「一個項目」、「多個項目」。可指學業、商業、創意或社區活動。不等於「projections」（預測）。在美國英語裡，「the projects」也指政府公屋，是另一個意思。

We have two big projects at school this year.

我們今年在學校有兩個大**項目**。

My dad works on construction projects.

She likes to start new projects at home.
