পিচার বলতে পানীয় ঢালা জন্য ব্যবহৃত বড় হ্যান্ডেল ও মুখযুক্ত পাত্র অথবা বেসবলে বল ছোড়ার দায়িত্বে থাকা খেলোয়াড়কে বোঝায়।

'Water pitchers' বলতে বোঝায় পানির পাত্র; 'baseball pitchers' বলতে বোঝায় বেসবল খেলোয়াড় যারা বল ছোঁড়ে। বাক্যের প্রসঙ্গ থেকে কোন অর্থ বোঝানো হয়েছে তা নির্ধারণ করতে হয়।
