التعريف

땅이 낮고 축축하며 풀과 식물이 많은 지역을 말합니다. 보통 땅이 물에 젖어 있습니다.

'marsh'는 주로 풀이 무성하고 젖어 있는 땅에 사용합니다. 'swamp'(숲이 많음)나 'bog'(더 spongy)에 비해 다릅니다. '염습지', '습원' 등과 같이 사용됩니다.
