물건이 아무렇게나 놓여 있거나, 사람이 특별히 하는 일 없이 빈둥거리면서 시간을 보내는 것.

비격식적 표현. 사물과 사람 모두에 사용됨. 'lie down'(눕다)과 혼동하지 않기. 게으름, 어수선함을 내포할 수 있음.

There are clothes lying around on the floor.

바닥에 옷이 **흩어져 있다**.

He just wants to lie around and watch TV.
