বীমার সাধারণ ধরন হলো 'স্বাস্থ্য বীমা', 'গাড়ির বীমা', ও 'বাড়ির বীমা'। সাধারণত 'insurance' অগণন যোগ্য, তাই বলি 'insurance', 'an insurance' নয়। 'buy insurance', 'get insurance', 'have insurance', 'offer insurance', 'cover insurance'— এ ধরনের ক্রিয়া ব্যবহৃত হয়।
