التعريف

কিছু করার, ব্যবহার করার বা প্রস্তুত করার জন্য ধাপে ধাপে বিস্তারিত নির্দেশনা। কখনও কখনও কাউকে কিছু করতে বলা নির্দেশও বোঝায়।

অধিকাংশ সময় বহুবচন হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় যেমন 'read the instructions', 'follow the instructions'। অফিসিয়াল বা ধাপে ধাপে নির্দেশনার জন্য 'instructions' বেশি ব্যবহৃত; 'directions' অপেক্ষাকৃত কম। কর্মক্ষেত্রে ব্যবস্থাপক বা ক্লায়েন্টের আদেশও বোঝাতে পারে।
