「化身」とは、神や精神、思想が形をとって現れること、またはある特性を完全に体現する人物やもののことです。特定のバージョンや姿にも使われます。

主に宗教や文学的な文脈で使われます（例：「悪の化身」「最新モデルの化身」）。何かの特徴を完璧に体現する人にも使います。「reincarnation」（輪廻転生）とは意味が異なります。
