매우 비격식적이고 주로 구어체에서 사용합니다. 'in the sticks'나 'out in the middle of nowhere'와 비슷한 뉘앙스. 완전한 산속이 아니라 사람이 사는 멀리 떨어진 곳에 쓰입니다.
