약을 조제하고 판매하는 사람을 말하며, 주로 예전 미국에서 사용된 표현입니다. 현대에는 거의 사용되지 않습니다.

현대 영어에서는 'pharmacist'가 더 자주 쓰이며, 'druggist'는 옛날 표현입니다. 불법 약물 판매자에게 쓰는 단어가 아닙니다.
