किसी चीज़ को तेजी से तरल में डालकर निकालना। कभी-कभी अस्थायी रूप से किसी चीज़ के कम होने को भी कहते हैं।

आमतौर पर खाना बनाने या खाने में इस्तेमाल होता है ('bread dipped in sauce'), या चीज़ों में अस्थायी गिरावट के लिए ('temperature dipped'). 'deep' (गहरा) से न मिलाएं। यह 'dip' का भूतकाल है।
