指悄悄地笑，通常因某件事有点好笑或有趣而发出低声笑。

“Chuckle” 专指轻声笑，一般是自己一个人觉得好笑，跟 “laugh” 或 “giggle”（咯咯笑）不同，多数情况下不外露。常与“to yourself”等短语搭配。

He chuckled at the joke.
