누군가에 의해 부적절하거나 민감하다고 판단되어 일부 내용이나 정보가 숨겨지거나 삭제된 상태입니다. 보통 기관에 의해 이루어집니다.

'검열된 자료', '검열 버전'과 같이 자주 쓰임. 'edited'(편집됨)과 달리 검열은 정치적·법적 이유 등으로 내용이 제거되거나 가려진 것을 의미함.

The movie was censored in some countries.
