同じ刑務所の房で生活する受刑者同士のことです。一人ひとりを「同房受刑者」と呼びます。

同じ刑務所の房を使う場合のみ使われる言葉です。「ルームメイト」や「クラスメイト」とは異なります。物語などで比喩的に使われることもあります。
