코나 입을 통해 폐로 공기를 들이마시는 것. 호흡의 첫 단계이다.

지시문(의료, 요가, 명상 등)에서 자주 사용된다. '깊게', '천천히', '코로'와 함께 쓰임. '숨을 내쉬다'와 짝지어 쓰이는 경우가 많다. '인헤일'(inhale)보다 일상적.
