किसी बड़े समूह या संगठन से औपचारिक रूप से जुड़ा हुआ। यह औपचारिक संबंध दिखाने के लिए उपयोग होता है।

अधिकतर औपचारिक और व्यापार, शैक्षिक या संस्थागत संदर्भों में उपयोग होता है। आमतौर पर "with" के साथ आता है ('affiliated with...')। "associated" से भ्रमित न हों।
