A statement about what you think will happen in the future, usually based on information or experience.

'Prediction' is mostly neutral/formal. Common with science, weather, sports, or technology. Pairs with 'make' (make a prediction), but not 'do'. Sometimes mixed up with 'guess' (more random or less informed).
